Three Ludington-area residents killed in heroin overdoses

Police believe the heroin came from outside the Ludington area.

MASON COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- In the last two weeks, three people have died from suspected heroin overdoses in the Ludington area.

According to Ludington Police, a 24-year-old man died on May 11 at 307 Melendy Street.

Another man, 34, died the next afternoon at 110 North Washington Avenue.

On May 22, a 31-year-old Scottville resident died at 901 St. Catherine Street.

Police believe the heroin was brought in from outside the area.

They're working with the State Sheriffs Cities Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT) to figure out exactly where the heroin came from.
