United Methodist Church in Kewadin moves to new property

United Methodist Church in Kewadin moved to a new foundation Wednesday.

ANTRIM COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A northern Michigan church was on the move!

United Methodist Church members said the church is moving about 50 feet to the north and 50 feet to the west where it will be placed onto a new foundation.

The new building will also have a new bathroom that is compliant with the American Disabilities Act.

The church is using money from a memorial fund designated specifically for renovations.

Officials said they will raise additional money if needed.

The church hopes that the new building will reflect their motto of "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors."
