Vehicle crashes into Traverse City business
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Police are at the scene of a vehicle that crashed into a Traverse City business.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Check & Cash on South Garfield and Baldwin.
One woman, who was sitting at her desk inside the business at the time of the crash, was under wreckage. Two teenage boys who witnessed the crash helped pull her out of the debris. The boys had first thought she was pinned by the SUV, but realized she was stuck under the rubble pushed from the truck.
The fire captain says the driver put the SUV in drive instead of reverse, sending it into the building.
The fire chief said the woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The man in the SUV was not injured.
As of 5 p.m. the vehicle has been removed from the business and crews are cleaning up the mess left behind.
