MASON COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A woman was taken to the hospital after a rollover crash.

According to the Mason County Press the crash happened in the 400 block of East Sugar Grove Road east of US-31.

The driver, a 35-year-old Ludington woman, driving on Sugar Grove Road when she lost control, left the roadway and flipped her Equinox before striking a tree in the Sugar Grove Cemetery -- narrowly missing a gravestone, according to the Mason County Press.

Emergency units were called to the scene about 11:40 a.m.

The Mason County Press said the driver called 911 as she was trapped inside the vehicle.

The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation but slushy road conditions are believed to be a factor.
