Woman sent to hospital after finding meth lab in garbage can

ANTRIM COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A woman was sent to the hospital after deputies said she inhaled toxic fumes from an active meth lab that was discovered in her garbage can.

The Antrim County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from the woman claiming she needed an ambulance because she found what she believed to be a one-pot meth lab in her garbage container on Friday, April 13.

Investigators from both the sheriff's office and the Bellaire Police Department responded to the scene.

Once on scene, officers were able to identify the meth lab and called the Traverse Narcotics Team's Methamphetamine Response Unit.

According to TNT, components, chemicals and apparatus' used in the manufacture of meth were found on the property.

Deairus Neal, 26, and Allin Griffis, 47, were arrested in connection with the investigation.

Both men are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
