GM: Henrik Zetterberg done playing professional hockey
DETROIT, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Detroit Red Wings Captain Henrik Zetterberg is done playing professional hockey.
General Manager Ken Holland announced Friday morning Zetterberg is no longer healthy enough to play.
Zetterberg had been battling back issues for the last few years and hadn't been training in the off-season.
The 37-year-old Swedish native was drafted by the Red Wings in 1999 and spent his entire professional career in the organization.
