Charlevoix nets 5-0 win over Leland in district semifinals

The Charlevoix girls soccer team has advanced to Friday's district final where they will host Elk Rapids.

CHARLEVOIX COUNTY -- The Rayder girls soccer program is hosting a Division 4 district soccer bracket this spring and they want to be the last one's standing when the trophy is handed out Friday night.

They already got a big win over North Bay earlier in the week and on Thursday night they defeated Leland in the semifinal 5-0 to advance to the finals. Senior Rachel Nesburg and sophomore Megan Scholten combined to score all five goals.

That's where they will meet Lake Michigan rival Elk Rapids with a 6pm start time.
