Gaylord St. Mary archery aims for another big trip to Nationals

Senior Amanda Kippe is coming off two straight state championships as she gets ready to compete this weekend in Louisville, Kentucky.

GAYLORD -- St. Mary's archery program has accomplished some pretty successful things in their first decade in existence.

They won three straight state titles from 2009-2011 and picked up a center-shot national championship in 2016 before finishing runner-up a year ago.

We caught up the team including head coach Mike Lamunichak and seniors Amanda Kippe and Brendan Delaney to get their thoughts on the sport and on competing at the top level.
