Heather Bricca

Heather Bricca grew up in San Francisco, California and moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho when she was 13 years old. Her passion for weather began when she was only 5 years old when she always watched the local news channel meteorologist in San Francisco. Ever since then, she has become more and more passionate about the weather. Her family gave her the nickname “Heather with the Weather” at a very young age and has stuck ever since.

Heather attended North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene where she received an Associate’s degree before transferring to Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Meteorology and a minor in digital media/communications. While at Valpo, she was the Executive Director for two years for the on-campus TV station, VUTV. She grew a bigger passion for broadcast meteorology as Heather spent four years being involved with VUTV.

In her free time, Heather enjoys hiking, yoga and weightlifting. She also enjoys crafting which is anywhere from sewing to knitting and even spinning her own yarn.
